CIVIL LITIGATION

The attorneys at Murray | Lobb are experienced litigators who represent both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of legal matters. While not afraid to "mix it up" in litigation, it is our philosophy that litigation should only be considered as a last resort. We want to help out clients avoid litigation. When litigation becomes necessary we want our clients to feel in their hearts that they have been reasonable in attempting to resolve the dispute and that the filing of a lawsuit, or demanding arbitration, is their only recourse.

The lawyers at Murray | Lobb have both trial and arbitration experience. We have tried and arbitrated cases throughout Texas, from Houston to Dallas, San Antonio to Big Springs, and Mission to Beaumont, and most places in between. We have experience in County Courts, State District Courts, Federal Courts, and arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association, and the New York Stock Exchange.

The scope of our civil litigation practice at Murray | Lobb reflects the wide range of business activities in which our clients engage.  We handle a wide range of litigation disputes, including, but by no means, limited to:

  • construction litigation

  • collections lawsuits

  • banking litigation

  • bankruptcy litigation

  • credit union litigation

  • real estate litigation

  • Foreclosure litigation

  • general contract disputes

  • disputes between sellers and buyers of goods

  • disputes between co-owners of businesses

  • business torts, such as tortious interference, fraud, misrepresentation, misappropriation of trade secrets, and unfair competition

  • statutory claims, such as DTPA

At Murray | Lobb our attorneys have extensive trial experience and a history of success in state and federal courts and arbitrations.  We also work to prepare our cases in the most cost-effective manner in order to minimize the costs of litigation.
